When I was around five years old my older sister and I went skating not on a skating rink but on my grandma’s driveway. It was so fun but since I was five, I used a rusty lawn chair as a trainer device. The ice rain made it so icy, and I loved it. My aunt looked like Bambi on ice because she had no skates on, she was in her boots trying to help me get up. She also fell, I think. it was not very cold out, so it was the perfect day to go outside and skate. We giggled and we cried because we fell, it is funny now when I think of it, but it was not funny then. My older sister kept sitting on the rusty lawn chair when I was trying to push, I was so mad at her. My mom and my grandma were on the porch watching all this happen they were laughing so much. That is just one of my favorite winter adventures.
My Favorite Holiday
My favorite holiday is Christmas. I love Christmas because I like to give gifts and even get them but give more. The food is delicious at Christmas time. My grandma makes chocolate turtles with caramel on the inside. My favorite chocolate ever. I also love Christmas because everything is so beautiful outside. The snow looks cool on the trees, and the lights look amazing. I cannot count how many times I say wow on a drive when it’s Christmas time with my family. Those are the reasons why Christmas is my favorite holiday.
